Revive

We sew new life into living spaces. In close collaboration with clients we help plan and design, sourcing sustainable materials so interiors projects won’t cost the earth.

Reupholster

Heirloom furniture can survive another era, it doesn’t have to go to waste. With some craft we can return upholstery to its former glory or fit with the new covering your furniture deserves. We avoid poly wadding and foam, opting for sustainable materials with lowest possible carbon footprint.

Replicate

We understand how clothes hold stories, and when you find a great-fitting shirt, jacket or dress, it’s so tough to part with. If it’s threadbare beyond repair, let us replicate it to your specifications.

We love to copy a good thing!

The Swigg

This excellent café in Swansea’s Marina reached out for bespoke outdoor seating.  Covid restrictions in 2020 meant more space needed for customers in the open air, so we set to work designing bench cushions.

Bringing the inside outside, UK waterproof fabrics were sourced to match the vibrant artwork of the buoy named ‘Swigg’ out at sea just a few miles from the café. The practical seating was carefully measured for ease of storage for the baristas.  We loved collaborating with Swigg.

No.8 Project

Interiors connoisseur Tamsin Leech-Griffiths of No.8 Project is a brilliant designer with an eye for great fabrics and craft.

With pride, iâr studio has realised ticking striped and piped seat covers as well as various cushions with UK woven fabric by Tori Murphy.

Furnishings

iâr studio has worked with private clients to bring to life new ideas for living spaces.  We helped to calculate dimensions and fabric quantity, in some cases sourcing and ordering materials.  All new furnishings are crafted to last.  This means all seams over-locked and all stitching strong. We take quality control very seriously.

The results are unique interiors projects that couldn’t have been simply pulled off a shelf. Bespoke doesn’t have to mean expensive. We hope that by having textile interiors hand made, more and more we’ll grow to take better care of, mend and treasure furnishings for the future.

Reupholstery

We revived a solid mid century footstool. A well used inherited piece ready for a new look, we varnished the wood, removed old vinyl, padded the surface with repurposed blanket and crafted a fresh piped cover.

We always love working with pure Welsh wool – this ‘Vintage Star’ by Melin Tregwynt is extra special, inspired by the Welsh landscape.  There was just enough to make some cushion twins too.

Mapping

In collaboration with Artist Owen Griffiths, iâr studio has given hand stitched detail to naturally dyed cloth used for mapping food growth along Brecon canal for Peak Arts Cymru.

For Room to Grow project, a front garden grow your own initiative in Swansea, iâr studio used rope on brushed cotton to map the streets and gardens in stitch.
